Giuiliana Rancic’s controversial comments about Zendaya Coleman’s Oscars hairdo landed her on the chopping block at E! network. But so far, RadarOnline.com has learned, her bosses have refused to drop the axe in fear of backlash from her supporters.
“It’s complicated. The network is afraid of the backlash they would face if they got rid of Giuliana,” a source close to the situation told Radar. “She’s a cancer survivor. And before, all of these people really loved her and were very sympathetic towards her, especially since she was so open about her fertility struggles.”
So what is the network going to do?
“They’re really stuck,” said the source. “What she said is terrible. But she knows that she has a lot of people out there who have an emotional attachment to her that they developed watching her reveal her personal life struggles.”
And while her Fashion Police co-stars are ” done with Giuliana and they are hoping that she will be not only kicked off the show, but also off of the network,” as one source previously told Radar, she isn’t being shown the door just yet.
“E! doesn’t want to garner any more bad publicity,” the source said
