President Jonathan Deploys Military Men To Election "Monitoring" Chores – See Names And Phone Numbers

Less than one day after he re-committed to free, fair and credible elections, SaharaReporters has uncovered a document revealing that President Jonathan, in a strategy eerily reminiscent of the rigged June 2014 rigged Ekiti State governorship election, has secretly deployed military men and women of Nigeria's armed forces to Saturday’s presidential elections across the country.
Already, some military men have laid siege on homes and official residences of opposition politicians. A few minutes before publishing this report, the Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole reported that soldiers have surrounded his country home in Auchi, Edo state.

Yesterday, Mr. Jonathan made the pledge before various visiting election observers, including the National Committee on Peaceful Elections and signed yet another peace accord with All Progressives Congress presidential contender General Muhammadu Buhari, to that effect.
However, the list prepared a few weeks ago  had several military and police officers led by the following 16 top military officers: 1. Brig. Gen Ibrahim Attahiru - 2. Brig. Gen. Ahmed. Sabo - 3. Brig. Gen Enobong. Udoh - 4. Brig. Gen. Koko. Essien - 5. Brig. Gen. Joseph Ejeh - 6. Col. Loius. Lepdung - 7. Lt. Col Modupe Falana - 8. Lt. Col. Al-Hassan Grema - 9. Lt. Col Nasiru. Nagidada - 10. Lt Col Timothy Oladuntoye - 11. Lt Col Abubakar S. Mohammed - 12. Lt Col Ime Bassey - 13. Lt Col George Nyekwu - 14. Lt Col Kenneth Elemele - 15. Lt Col Danjuma Dantani - 16. Lt Col Rashid Omolori.
The full list, published below, contains the special telephone numbers of  various officials assigned to these duties.
Despite the fact that Nigeria’s constitution does not provide election monitoring responsibilities for the military, the men are being sent to prosecute Nigeria's Presidential election with such sentiments as the following:
“As you go to perform your duty in monitoring of the 2015 General Elections, it is our firm belief that you shall be guided by your unflinching patriotism to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and you shall bring your professional ethics to bear. We urge you to stand firm and not to compromise your principles. Identify with what is right that would bring the desired progress and change to our great nation and for our children’s future.”
It is our conviction that you as a Commander of Men and Material would bear FAITHFUL ALLEGIANCE to the OATH you took as an Officer of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We also believe that you shall ensure the same from all those under your Command.
It would be recalled that in the Ekiti governorship which was exposed by a patriotic junior military officer who secretly audio-taped an election-eve manipulation meeting, compromised senior military officer Brigadier General Aliyu Momoh, who was said to have been sent by the Chief of Army Staff, was overhead being bribed and shaken up by operatives of the Peoples Democratic Party.
One of them, Musiliu Obanikoro, was later re-appointed Minister by President Jonathan.
The list published here by SaharaReporters includes the telephone numbers of the various military personnel, and shows they are being deployed all over the country.  Only yesterday, the opposition All Progressives Congress issued a statement in which it said it had credible information that the presidency had sent 100 trained men to each of six States of the federation to foment trouble.
“Credible information available to [the APC] from deep inside the federal government have starkly put it to us that the PDP administration has hatched a plan by which the States of Lagos, Imo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Kano and Sokoto will be racked by trouble of a serious magnitude in order to sabotage the presidential election and democracy in the country in a sinister, wicked and selfish objective," the party said.
SaharaReporters spoke some police officers listed on list procured by our reporters while some of them denied swearing to an oath to re-elect President Jonathan they however admitted that the Police high command had a close door meeting with them on Tuesday to discuss how to monitor the elections. The source noted that one of the Police Mobile Force commanders listed, Christian Ezra, was killed in Bauchi a few weeks ago by a junior police officers. The police officers noted that unlike in the past, the Inspector General of police did not post them to locations different from their commands as was the practice in the past, they also complained that the IGP did not provide any of them with funding for the general elections as required of special assignments of this magnitude.
Below are the letters sent to the military and police personnel, as well as the list of those involved in this particular phase of the PDP plan.
Dear .......
It is common knowledge that our great country Nigeria is at its defining moment to either make appreciable CHANGE which would guarantee the collective prosperity of Nigerians or to maintain its current declining situation and face the impending doom which would be disastrous to the nation and its citizens.
It is our conviction that you as a Commander of Men and Material would bear FAITHFUL ALLEGIANCE to the OATH you took as an Officer of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We also believe that you shall ensure the same from all those under your Command.
LONG LIVE THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
Dear ........
As you go to perform your duty in monitoring of the 2015 General Elections, it is our firm belief that you shall be guided by your unflinching patriotism to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and you shall bring your professional ethics to bear. We urge you to stand firm and not to compromise your principles. Identify with what is right that would bring the desired progress and change to our great nation and for our children’s future.
God bless you and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
