This her baby is all kinds of cute! Motherhood is suiting Kelly Rowland just fine and it’s showing! The former Destiny’s Child singer and husband Tim Weatherspoon welcomed their first child, son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, back in November 2014, and now that this little guy is 4 months old, he’s ready for his big magazine debut.
For the cover of Essence magazine’s April issue, little Titan makes his first public appearance with Mom and Dad, and it’s too cute for words. Not only is this kiddo cheesing at his pop, but he looks like the perfect combination of Kelly and Tim! The first and only time we got a peek at Titan was when Beyoncé shared a snapshot of his little hands just days after he was born.
As for the new mama, the 34-year-old singer had a whirlwind of a year. Not only did Kelly and Tim tie the knot in May 2014, she announced she was expecting just months later. A few weeks after Kelly welcomed her son, she suddenly lost her mother, who suffered a cardiac arrest the day prior.
"My road to my happiness hasn't been an easy one. It hasn't been peachy all the time, but I am so, so happy,” she tells Essence, adding that despite the pain of losing her mom, she’s been “surrounded with so much love.” That support has come from friends and family including her mother’s best friends and of course, Kelly’s longtime friend, Beyoncé and the Knowles family.
Now that Kelly has her little family of three, she tells the magazine that she’s keeping a focus on the main men in her life. “My priority is my husband first," she adds with a laugh. “That's how the baby got there.” Amen to that!
