The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun West Senatorial District by-election, Ademola Adeleke, on Saturday defeated the All Progressives Congress candidate, Senator Mudashiru Hussain, with total votes of 97, 480.

APC splits as NWC member insists on restructuring...


There appears a split in the National Working Committee NWC of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC over the party’s stance on the vexed issue of restructuring as its South-south zonal National Vice Chairman, Hilliard Eta, said the APC promised to restructure the country and it must not wait till the country disintegrates before fulfilling the pledge.

PDP reschedules national convention in Port Harcourt...

The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Acting National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has announced that the national convention of the party slated for Port Harcourt has been postpone.
Sheriff who briefed newsmen, Saturday afternoon, at the Le Meridien Hotel in Port Harcourt said, the party had to succumb to various court orders against the convention. 

His Words;
“We are a responsible party. We have postponed the convention until the court cases are resolved “, he said. 
He said he still remained the Chairman of the party.

In a petition to the Chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmud Yakubu, by INTER-SOCIETY Board of Trustees Chairman, Emeka Umeagbalasi, The International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law asked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to apologise to Nigerians over the pending rerun elections across the country.

Prosecution disowns exhibits against Saraki...



The prosecution witness against Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and Economic and Financial Commission’s operative, Mr. Michael Wetcas, Tuesday disowned the documents tendered against him, saying most of the petitions were filed in 2012, while his investigating team was constituted in 2014.
