A new fashion trend is making its way off the catwalk and into stores in the form of an over-the-top collection of bedazzled, fur trim headphones from luxury Italian label Dolce & Gabbana.
The jewel-encrusted headphones, which were created in collaboration with audio brand Frends, made their debut on the runway during the fashion house's Milan Fashion Week show earlier, and are already available to purchase from online retailer Moda Operandi - for the bargain price of $7,990.
And for those eager to avoid wearing an accessory trimmed with fox fur, the label also offers a red leather variety for just $7,095.
According to their online description, both pairs of headphones 'are rendered in nappa leather' and have been 'embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls', with the more expensive pair also featuring a green fox fur trim.
Moda Operandi predicts that the headphones will actually be sent out to customers between July 20 and October 30 this year.
And while the extravagant accessories were somewhat overshadowed on the catwalk by the mothers-turned-models chosen by designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to strut their stuff during the show, which was dedicated to the 'beauty of motherhood', with their babies in tow, however their official public launch has quickly set social media alight with a mix of excitement - and horror.
'Does anyone want to give me $7,095 so i can buy jewel-encrusted Dolce & Gabbana headphones?' one person wrote on Twitter, before adding: 'It would mean a lot!'
A second excitable fashion fan said: 'I want bedazzled headphones and I want them now.'
But the over-the-top audio accessories haven't proved quite so popular with everyone.
'I feel like these are completely unnecessary,' one unimpressed person tweeted, while another chimed in: 'Who on earth would pay that for headphones?!'
It is certainly not the first time that high-end fashion has left a particularly pricey mark on the audio industry.
In September 2014, Chanel debuted a pair of black quilted headphones, which were created in collaboration with audio brand Monster and were priced at $7,200.
The headphones, which featured the couture brand's signature quilting with a double C monogram and matching carry case, were launched during designer Karl Largefeld's Autumn Winter 2014 show in Paris last March, before being released to the public six months later.
