Photos;Tennis star Andy Murray and fiance Kim Sears tied the knot this afternoon at Dunblane Cathedral

It has been dubbed the Scottish wedding of the year and there was little doubt about the delight felt by the crowd gathered outside Dunblane Cathedral for the union of Kim Sears and Andy Murray this afternoon as a huge cheer went up when the happy couple emerged as The new Mr and Mrs Murray, who announced their engagement in November last year,
tied the knot in the 12th century cathedral before a relatively small group of their family members and close friends.
        Event: The nuptials of the new Mr and Mrs Murray is likely to be the biggest wedding Dunblane ever sees                     The police were in the background making sure the crowds behaved themselves

 Reception: The pair will now celebrate with at nearby Cromlix House, the £1.8million luxury country house hotel which the star owns
Charming: The cathedral had been transformed by the flowers brought in for Scotland's wedding of the year
At 5:43pm, bells rung out and the wedding guests showered the newlyweds with confetti as they left the 45-minute ceremony in the cathedral in the tennis star's hometown.

The pair will now celebrate with a reception at nearby Cromlix House, the £1.8million luxury country house hotel which the star owns.
 A misbehaving brolly! Although the sun briefly shone earlier in the day, by the time bride-to-be Kim Sears arrived at the wedding venue, the wind and rain had arrived...
Earlier, Kim arrived at the venue in a silver Rolls Royce and had to battle with the forecast rain; a smiling support team including her bridesmaids, dressed in pink, helping to keep the hem of her beautiful embroidered gown from trailing on the floor.
Her stunning dress, rumoured to be by Jenny Packham, had elbow-length sleeves and the bride was wearing her hair swept back from her face in a half-up and half-down do. Kim's tousled brunette locks were also pinned with a long, lace veil.
 Here comes the bride! Kim, pictured in the back of her  wedding car, delighted the hundreds of people who have gathered in the town to watch their homegrown tennis ace say 'I do'
On her feet, a pair of strappy silver heels, thought to be by Jimmy Choo. The bride had four bridesmaids, all dressed in pink. 
Mother-of-the-groom Judy Murray arrived just before 4.00pm looking resplendent in a white, to-the-knee overcoat with a detailed gold dress.The outfit was topped off with a dramatic gold hat by milliner William Chambers.
Reverend Colin Renwick led the service, which lasted 45 minutes.
Although the sun briefly shone earlier in the day, by the time bride-to-be Kim Sears arrived at the wedding venue, the wind and rain had arrived...leaving one wedding party guest to do battle with the umbrella that was supposed to be keeping the bride dry.
