Nigeria Football Federation confirms Nike as kit sponsor

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has announced that Nike is the new kit sponsor of all the country’s teams.

A tweet from the official Twitter handle read: “Kitting Giants, Nike is the new technical sponsor to the Nigeria Football Federation.”

Nike replaces Adidas that refused to extend their contract with Nigeria in December 2014.

Further tweets read: “Nike and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announce a new partnership in which Nike, the world’s leading football brand, is designing and developing football kits for the men’s and women’s Nigeria national football teams from April 1, 2015, until at least 2018.

“The under-20 men’s team will be the first team to don the new Nike kit at the U20 football tourney to be hosted in New Zealand from May 31.”
