Children have fewer allergies when families do dishes by hand, study finds

Doing dishes the old-fashioned way — by hand — might help curb a modern-day problem: rising rates of childhood allergies, a new study suggests.
Researchers in Sweden found that children living in families that hand-washed their dishes were about 40 percent less likely to develop allergies compared with kids in homes that used a dishwasher, said study researcher Dr. Bill Hesselmar, an allergist at the University of Gothenburg Department of Pediatrics.

Senate Passes 2015 MTEF, Approves $52 Oil Price Benchmark

The Senate has passed the Medium Term Expenditure Frame Work MTEF) and Fiscal Policy Paper (FSP).

U.S Female Missionary Kidnapped in Kogi

An American woman working as a Christian missionary in Nigeria was kidnapped overnight, the website of the Free Methodist Church and a security source said on Tuesday.

“Early this morning we received a report that Rev. Phyllis Sortor, our missionary in Nigeria, was abducted from the Hope Academy compound in Emiworo, Kogi State, Nigeria by several persons,” the church said.
