On Monday,A Federal High Court in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, granted bail in the sum of N3 million to Daihiru Yunusa.
Yunusa is standing trial on a five count charge of criminal abduction and sexual exploitation of a minor, Miss Ese Oruru.
Trial judge in the matter, Justice H. Nganjiwa, while ruling on the bail application, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison custody until the bail conditions are fulfilled and adjourned the case to April 19.
According to the bail conditions, the defence counsel shall undertake that they will provide the accused person in court for trial, while one of the sureties must be a renowned title holder in the community and the other, a public servant from level 12 and above.
Both sureties must be resident in Bayelsa State and must submit their three years tax clearance certificate, while the public servant must also submit a letter of first appointment and last promotion letter.
