Wetin Dey sup?

Here's this week's Wetin Dey sup?

'The Ghost of Flooded Road past'

If you live in Rivers State and you use Aba Road frequently you would know where I'm talking about.
Since this rainy season started its been so frustrating passing that road. Whenever it rains this road automatically gets flooded, i mean it's like a river it has tides and all.
The road I'm talking about is after Market Junction if your coming from artillery and after First Bank Bus stop on Aba Road when your coming from Rumuola. This road used to be way worse trust me. Like that year before Ex- Governor Amaechi's administration and he fixed it.
His administration put people out of their misery when they fixed the road and for a good 8years it's been all fun and games.

I pass that road like everyday because I'd rather be stock in Traffic on Aba Road than to be detained in traffic on old Aba or any short cuts.

The state of this road has a thing or two to do with the present administration, its a new Administration alright and Gov. Wike needs to settle in.
The cause of the flood is clogged drainage. Residents of that part town dump their trash in gutter forgetting that they are just littering not really getting rid of the trash.
Before now there was an arrangement. Every night bring out your refuse drop at a designated point and the gabbage truck will come pick it up.
As of right now the company that pick up the trash stopped work since the governor that employed them is no longer in power.
You see, The residents of that part of town are used to that routine so now that the gabbage pick up truck is unavailable they have to improvise, or shows up whenever they like that's why they dump the trash in the drainage and that's why the flood made its come back.

What can we do about it? After all we don't live on that part of town, we just get to pass the road.

The solution to this problem is for Gov. Wike to provide those gabbage pick up trucks and employ people that live on that part of town to supervise. Same can be done for other communities in Rivers State.
Instead of employing someone that has no idea of the situation.
By employing residents of that part of town they'll make sure that they work with a practical routine,(cause news flash,no get rid of gabbage routine= everlasting flooded streets).
It works because only people that live next door to where the flood is will take the job seriously.
Instead of employing someone that  will employ other people that might show up for work whenever, it's better to employ the people that work and live on that part of town. It's another way to provide job opportunity for the community.

Gov. Wike should purchase the gabbage pick up truck and employ people that'll operate them.
This way when his tenure is over the next person that'll take over after him will follow this method and I think for a long time the gabbage situation and flood will be ancient history...

It's a wonderful idea.

Meanwhile, for now here's the best route to take home if u live on this part of town. There's always old Aba road but these days the traffic there ain't friendly. So instead of going through old Aba road. Use that airforce bridge and get to Eliozu Junction, don't use the eliozu bridge, when get to that bridge stay on your right, take the road on your right and drive to Rumuodara junction, go right again drive to artillery and go across. And tada! I'm sure if you live in Rivers State you would understand this explanation.
Another route is through Elekahia Estate, If you decide to pass through stadium road.
And also Odikagbo lane in Rumuomasi. If you need a clearer description of these routes, see me in my office(comments section) and I'd explain better...
Anyways, let's share this message over again till Gov. Wike gets it.
Until next time or tomorrow when I come back with another 'Wetin Dey Sup' segment.
Ngwa byeeee...
