Mama HID Awolowo dies at 99

Chief (Mrs) Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, the matriarch of the Awolowo family and wife of late Obafemi Awolowo died on Saturday September 19th. She passed on in her sleep in her country home in Ikenne, Ogun state. She was 99years old,She would have been 100 years on the 25th of November. She was born on November 25, 1915.  May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

Late Chief(Mrs.) Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo was the wife of Late. Chief Obafemi Awolowo, They had four kids. Their eldest son died in a car crash near Ibadan many many years ago. Chief Obafemi Awolowo was the First Premier of the western region of  Nigeria from 1st Oct. 1954 - 1st Oct. 1960. He died on the 9th of May 1987 and meanwhile, he is the guy on the 100 naira note.
