FDA approves 'pink Viagra,' first drug to improve libido for women

For the first time, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given its blessing to a prescription drug intended to increase sexual desire in women.
The FDA’s green light on the drug flibanserin, often known by the nickname "pink Viagra," reverses two earlier decisions to reject the medication as a treatment for hypoactive sexual desire disorder, or HSDD.
The decision, announced late Tuesday, comes in the wake of a public campaign that has challenged the agency to close a widening gap between the numbers of medications available for men’s sexual health and those available to women.

Rivers poll: Tribunal declines to dismiss APC’s petition against Wike

The Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja, has declined to dismiss the petition seeking to sack Governor Nyesom Wike from office. ‎In a ruling this afternoon, the Justice Muazu Pindiga-led tribunal held that the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, properly convoked a pre-hearing session on their case against Wike.
The tribunal said it was not persuaded by contention of both the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and Wike that the failure of the petitioners to pay a mandatory ‎N100 fee for the convocation of the pre-hearing session, rendered their substantive petition liable for dismissal.

Hunters in Anambra kill 100 Boko Haram members

On Sunday Hunters and Members of a vigilante group killed 100 Boko Haram Insurgents and 17 other suspected insurgents were arrested in Madagali area of Adamawa. According to some reports,The killing followed the raising of Madagali,Michika and Mubi by hunters, over 280 women and children were rescued.

However, three local hunters sustained injuries during the exchange of bullets with the insurgents. 

When I read reports like this online, the first thing I say is 'Ghen!Ghen!'

About 200 youths were recruited and were also given special training to face the insurgents.

When police arrived they found E'Dena Hines, 33, unresponsive with stab wounds to her torso outside an apartment building close to her home in the Washington Heights area of New York City just before 3am.

Two planes collide near San Diego's Brown Field; 3 dead

At least three people were killed Sunday morning when two small planes collided over Otay Mesa in eastern San Diego County near the Mexican border, authorities said.
The planes -- a twin-engine Sabreliner and a single-engine Cessna 172 -- ran into each other about two miles northeast of the Brown Field airport at about 11 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Wike and Peterside  Wike and Peterside  The petitioners made the allegation following two separate applications challenging the continued hearing of the petition seeking to annul the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State.  The applications were filed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and  Governor  Wike.

At least 40 migrants die in Mediterranean...

 (Reuters) - At least 40 migrants died after apparently getting trapped and suffocating in the water-logged hold of a fishing boat in the Mediterranean, the Italian navy said on Saturday.

The victims are thought to have suffocated after inhaling fumes from fuel after the boat took on water in the hold, the captain of the navy ship leading the rescue said on Italian state television.

Commander Massimo Tozzi, speaking from the ship, said that when his men boarded the migrant boat they found the dead in the hold "immersed in water, fuel and human excrement".

US states with the highest levels of gun ownership are also the ones where police officers have the highest risk of being killed in the line of duty – the vast majority by gunfire, a study has shown.

Researchers found that states such as Montana, Arkansas, Alabama and Idaho, which have the highest rates of state-registered private gun ownership, also have the highest rates of homicide of law enforcement officers. States including Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey experience some of the lowest rates of both police officers killed and gun ownership.

Daylight broke over northern China today to reveal scenes of devastation reminiscent of a war zone after two huge explosions ripped through a warehouse terminal killing at least 50 and leaving up to 700 injured.

The blasts in the port city of Tianjin, which sent fireballs soaring above the city's skyscrapers, detonated with such force that they registered on the Richter scale and were visible from space.

At least 11 firefighters are known to have died in the blast about 90 miles from Beijing with 32 other people in critical condition after the explosions which ripped through the city at around 11.30pm local time.

A helicopter owned by ristow Helicopters with 12 people on board Wednesday, crashed into the Lagoon near the Oworonshoki end of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.  The aircraft marked 5NBGD was said to be coming from one of the oil rigs in Escravos area of the Niger Delta and was said to be heading for Lagos Island when it went down around 3.p.m.

California Gov. Jerry Brown signs bills to help immigrants

Continuing his push for change on immigration issues, Gov. Jerry Brown signed a trio of measures Monday, including one removing the word "alien" from California’s labor code because it is seen as a derogatory description of those not born in the U.S. or who are not fully naturalized citizens.
State Sen. Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia) wrote the bill eliminating the word “alien,” saying the measure is necessary to modernize the labor code.

“Alien is now commonly considered a derogatory term for a foreign-born person and has very negative connotations,” Mendoza said. “The word 'alien,' and any law prescribing an order for the issuance of employment to 'aliens,' have no place in the laws of our state and more importantly, should never be the basis for any employment hiring.”
The new measure amends a law enacted in 1937 that said “aliens” should be hired on public works contracts only after citizens of the United States. Part of that law creating an order of hiring was repealed in 1970, but the term “alien” remains in the labor code.
Brown also approved a new law allowing high school students who are legal permanent residents to serve as poll workers in California elections to help with the growing language issue of a more diverse voting population.

The license plates match and the only difference appears to be that the car has been re-wrapped in a different color. The car seems to be an early birthday gift to the reality star.

The Governor of Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has promised to bring to justice the a police man David Labara that shot a bus driver at Whimpey Junction in Obio Akpor Rivers State,
 You know that i like gist,so a little bird told me that in all four police officers that were involved in  the shooting of a bus driver at Mile 3 diobu, Port Harcourt. Meaning, The police man that did the actual shooting did not work alone.

Although I don't have the full gist regarding what exactly went down between the police men and the bus driver.

I am Cait- Season1 Episode1

So the highly anticipated E! Docu-Series that's the centred on Former athlete,Step Dad to the Kardashians, Dad to the Kylie and Kendal Jenner , Ex-Husband to Kris Jenner's transition from Man to Woman and her new life. I think it aired last week but I'm just seeing it for the first time.

In the first scene they just showed Caitlyn in her home with her Stylist,Mua and Personal Assistant. They were talking about her meeting her family as 'Caitlyn Jenner'. Her mom and siblings were headed to her home to see her. She said that her family haven't met her as 'Caitlyn' and she was kinda nervous. But her family seemed okay with the change after seeing the Vanity fair interview. When her mom and sibs arrived They actually accepted her new appearance. Kylie is really close to her dad so she was probably the first to meet 'Caitlyn' after her Grand ma(Bruce's mom).

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have decided to follow there family tradition by heading the other
direction again and naming their Kid 'Easton'.

Easton West will arrive in five months. The only location left is South, and Kim's wasn't big on that choice.

The reality star told NPR: 'I don't like South West, though, because that's like, you know, North will always, you know, be better and be more...she has a better direction.'
