The 79-year-old's trial is set to begin in June, as he is accused of drugging and molesting Andrea Constand, a Temple University employee, at his home in 2004.
According to him the encounter with Constand is consensual and he has pleaded not guilty.
Cosby who hasn't spoken out publicly in more than two years since numerous women came forward to claim they had been assaulted by the man once known as 'America's Dad.'
The father-of-five has revealed the moment he lost his vision in an interview with National Newspaper Publisher Association (NNPA) where he did not address his legal troubles.
He explained that he woke up one morning roughly two years ago and called out to his wife, Camille.
'I can't see,' he told her.After seeking out medical treatment, doctors confirmed that his vision could not be repaired.
'When he would perform, we'd draw a wide straight yellow line from backstage to the chair on the stage and he'd rehearse the walk, hours before the show,' Andrew Wyatt of the Purpose PR firm, said.Cosby has been photographed appearing in court over the last several months where he can be seen holding a cane and holding on the arm of someone on his legal team.
Cosby, who has pleaded not guilty and remains free on $1 million bail, said he's missed performing.
'I miss it all and I hope that day will come. I have some routines and storytelling that I am working on,' he shared.
'I think about walking out on stage somewhere in the United States of America and sitting down in a chair and giving the performance that will be the beginning of the next chapter of my career.'His comments come as his youngest daughter, Evin Cosby, 40, wrote an opinion piece for the NNPA that was published Wednesday where she declared that her father 'is not abusive, violent or a rapist.'
