On
Tuesday,Khloe went on record to confirm that her marriage to Lamar was over when she penned an essay for Lena
Dunham's newsletter Lenny.
Read the letter after the jump...
The
E! bombshell revealed she is now in a 'different place' with the former
NBA great and needs to protect herself 'emotionally and mentally' from
the man who cheated on her and seems to have gone back to drinking.
When she
first started writing about Lamar in the lengthy article (which is most
about her faith),She wrote:
'I've been
blessed with a lot in my life, and I've also had challenges. It was a
challenge for me when I decided to get divorced.'
She
added: 'At my core, I don't believe in divorce, but I came to a point
in my marriage where I had to make the choice to take care of my own
mental and emotional well-being in order to protect myself and my
happiness.
'I am at
peace with that decision and do feel like I honored my vows to the very
end. I feel that I kept the serious vows I made in front of God with
every inch of my heart, which is why I am still honoring them today even
though my relationship with my ex-husband is in a different place.'
Khloe then focused on why she nursed the former LA Lakers back to health and helped him set up a new home in Calabasas.
'I
believe in caring for my partner — past or present — "in sickness and
in health," and feel at peace with my relationship with God even after
the fact.'
She
ended: 'I'm thankful that I can rely on my God, who, along with my
family, has led me through some of the most difficult times of my life.'
There
was talk that they could be happily married again after she brought the
one-time top athlete to Kanye West's Yeezy 2 show in New York City in
February.
But then
Khloe reportedly became upset that Odom went back to drinking alcohol in
March.
He was spotted at a bar in Sherman Oaks the night before Easter.
Since
then, the two have not been seen much together and Lamar has been seen
again drinking hard alcohol at bars, even as recently as early May at
the Beverly Center.
Khloe also wrote about her spirituality in the newsletter run by Dunham and Jenni Konner.
She
began: 'When you think Kardashian, devout probably isn't the first
thing that crosses your mind. Believe it or not, I come from a very
religious family.'
She
added: 'My father was Christian Armenian, and I've always gone to
Presbyterian or Catholic schools. Growing up, I remember going to one
Catholic school where we went to Mass and would take Communion.
'Of course,
you weren't supposed to take it unless you were Catholic, but I was in
second grade and I did it anyway. At the time, I didn't understand the
difference between Catholics and Christians — I didn't understand why I
was being told I couldn't take Communion. I just started crying. My dad
explained it to me by telling me I was dedicated to the Lord and that
was all that mattered.'
She
also admitted she has ready up on Buddhism and has studied the Quran
and observed Ramadan while adding:
'I believe with every fiber of my
being that there is a higher power.'
Khole also described losing her father Robert
Kardashian and her anger. She added reading Embraced by the Light and
Angels Among Us helped her heal.
She added: 'My relationship with spirituality has changed over the years, but I've never stopped believing.'
Her last line was: 'I know how fortunate I am.'
I still hope that she and Lamar make-up and let go the past. Another thing could be that she reads the bible upside down. Cause it's in the bible.
'God hates divorce.'
