Modern Family's Ariel Winter, 17, reveals she's had a breast reduction.

Ariel Winter aka Alex Dunphy on ABC's Modern Family TV series, recently revealed that she had a breast reduction surgery. She made the decision after enduring back and neck pain as a result of her massive boobs.

Ariel had the procedure some time in June, June 6th precisely.

Since she plays a young teenager in Modern Family, they had to strap her down or hide her in big sweaters. 

'I understand that it doesn't fit the character they have in mind. I understand that. But it was difficult to that everyday'

'I really couldn’t stand up straight for a long period of time. It started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain. My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine.'

Because of her figure, finding age appropriate clothes was quite difficult.

'I’d have to wear the dress that was super tight and form-fitted everywhere because if I didn’t, it didn’t look good. I didn’t really have an option other than to wear fitted clothes. Everyone would [say], 'Why is she dressing so mature? That’s so inappropriate for her age!'

'It’s hard when you’re a teenage girl and you already have a lot of ridicule and then you pile on more, and it’s kind of…it just gets too much.'

Now that I think of it, I've asked myself, when I'm watching modern family. 'Why does Alex where big clothes?'. Well asked and answered.
