You know that i like gist,so a little bird told me that in all four police officers that were involved in the shooting of a bus driver at Mile 3 diobu, Port Harcourt. Meaning, The police man that did the actual shooting did not work alone.
Although I don't have the full gist regarding what exactly went down between the police men and the bus driver.
So today my elder sister had a wedding to attend and the church service was at mile 3, so I played DD(Designated Driver). Before we arrived at the venue she wanted to confirm if they were still in church. 'What's up? Are they done with the Church service?'
And they kept saying that their was a riot happening live in mile 3, something about A policeman, identified as Sergeant James Imhalu, who had allegedly shot dead the bus driver after ordering him to park from the road. It could not be confirmed if the driver did not comply with the order before the policeman opened fire.
The angry mob barricaded the ever busy Ikwerre Road, yesterday, causing a gridlock that spilled over to the Rumuokoru portion of the East West Road. Governor Wike intervened, and he calmed the angry mob down and promised them that the police men will get their day in court. He promised to make it a goal that the killer-police men are arrested. And that the angry mob should keep calm and stop burning tyres. I guess for some reason burning tyres is a sign of anger? And where do they even get the tyres from?!

I used to think that the only time they were allowed to shoot the gun was when someone was in actual danger. How will a Police Man that is supposed to serve and protect shoot the civilian that his indirectly working for? Its sad on so many levels because whoever the deceased was had family and friends. If he was married then the Police Man just succeeded in making the man's wife a widow and if he had kids then his kids are now fatherless in a world where nobody can survive alone... May His Soul Rest In Peace...
Meanwhile,I'll give the Governor of Rivers State a thumbs up for personally addressing this issue and not sending a rep. Continuous Positive change is here...
