Check out this fascinating pictures: Artist paints models from head-to-toe to blend into doorways and gates

Model Jana is barely visible as she reclines atop a door frame in the ruins of a building in the rustic setting of an estate in Behrensen, Lower Saxony in Germany
It's creepy and amazing at the same time. There's camouflage and then there's this being painted head to toe with such precision that you simply become the landscape around you.
That's what bodypaint artist Jörg Düsterwald has done with a model called Jana, who was able to spread herself across gates, doors and door frames as if she wasn't there - even while an unsuspecting man was on the toilet behind that door reading the paper in one shot.
More fascinating pictures after the jump...

The model painted to look like a wrought iron gate. Bodypaint artist Jörg Düsterwald has been creating such displays for 20 years

Pre-painted with a background shade, the model is placed against an item before Jörg adds details that will help to camouflage her using his portable paint kit  Pre-painted with a background shade, the model is placed against an item before Jörg adds details that will help to camouflage her using his portable paint kit

Jana appears to disappear completely into the stone wall as she dozes. Jörg's work has featured in several art magazines and in 2008 he was named German brush-painting champion at a national competition
The photo shoots take several hours to complete and are heavily planned before the artist arrives at the location with the model

The amazing display took place on a rustic estate in Behrensen, Lower Saxony in Germany, near the town of Hameln, where Düsterwald is from.
