A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a pregnant mother-of-two was found dead in a flat in Essex.
Police
and Ambulance were called on Friday after Becky Parker, 23, was found
on the floor of a property in Burnham but she sadly died shortly
afterwards on Friday.
It is understood she was five months pregnant at the time.
Essex
Police have confirmed that they've now launched a murder probe and have
already arrested a 23-year-old man from nearby Maldon in connection
with her death.
Former
colleague Maria Fowkes, 40, paid tribute to the mother, who she worked
with at the Oyster Snack Inn, a local restaurant, last year.
She told the Essex Chronicle: 'It's two lives that have been taken, not just one. And her children's.
She was always with her kids. I just hope to heaven the children were not there when it happened.
"She
had so much going for her. She always worked. A lot of young mums stay
at home but she went out and worked so she could give her kids the best
life.
'She wanted to do right by her family. They were the world to her, they really were. I still can't believe it.'
Another
friend, Danielle Dines, told The Chronicle: 'I will miss her everyday,
life won't be the same without her bubbly personality and her random
outbursts. She was my best friend and I will miss her every second of
everyday.'
DCI Martin Pasmore, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, is leading the investigation.
He said: 'This is a very sad and distressing incident where a young woman has lost her life in tragic circumstances.
'We
have arrested a man on suspicion of her murder and will continue to
question him today. If anyone does have any information that they think
may help us then I would urge them to get in touch with my team.
'Enquiries
are continuing and a scene guard remains in place at the property
whilst forensic searches are carried out.
