#Blog Exclusive: Flash Back Friday: Mo-Hits Records

Aloha! I've decided to start This fun "Flash Back Friday segment"  where i post videos of some of our favorite Nigerian musicians from way back when. Flash back to how it all started, Today i will feature Mo-Hits records.

Let's get started...
It was the year 2004 that year then besties Don-Jazzy and D'banj came up with bright idea to create the Record label "Mo-Hits" members I can remember are, Dr Sid, D'prince, K switch, Wande coal and co-founders D'banj and Don Jazzy. I recently found out that Tiwa Savage was also a part of Mo-Hits Records.
Although Michael Collins Ajareh aka Don Jazzy was the CEO / President of the label, Fans actually thought D'banj was also the President he actually he was however one of the Co- Founder. D'banj was the first recording artist. Along came K Switch, Dr Sid and Wande coal although some story came to light that Wande coal was never officially signed to the record label and that prompted he's exit. The label had quite a number of hits like Close to you, Ten Ten, Move your body,Pere,Booty Call (Mo-Hits), Fall in Love ,Why Me(D'Banj) , Over the moon(Dr Sid). We all had a label crush on Mo-Hits Records. They were the IT record label that year. Fast Forward to  March 2012 Don Jazzy Made the announcement Via Twitter: he twitted that D'banj had left the group. With the exit of D'banj, Don Jazzy launched a new record label "Mavin Records" with hit songs like Dorobucci, Surulere and signed a couple of talented fast and rising musicians Di'ja,Koredo Bello, Reekado Banks, Dr Sid, Tiwa Savage and Don Doro. Mavin Records is  one Nigeria's most popular record label. As for D'banj he also created a new Record label and signed Nollywood actress Tonto Dike and K Switch.
Watch some of Mo- Hits Records music videos from way back when after the cut.
