PDP wins Ebonyi LG elections...
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State has won all the 13 Chairmanship and 171 Councilorship positions in the Local Government Election conducted last Saturday, by the State Independent Electoral Commission.

INEC,presents Obaseki and Deputy certificates of return...
On Thursday,Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Philip Shuaibu, winners of Edo gubernatorial election were presented certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin.
INEC National Commissioner in-charge of South-South zone, Dr Mustafa Muhammed, presented the certificates to the governor-elect and his deputy.

INEC postpones Edo election...
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Thursday, agreed to extend the date of the Edo State governorship election by two weeks.

Bayelsa chieftain allegedly hijacks election box in Yenagoa...
Apparently,A former governorship aspirant names witheld from Kpansia in Yenagoa local government allegedly hijacked election materials including results sheets.
According to eye witnesses,when the results was in favour of the PDP in ward 9 unit 7 in Yenagoa council area,when suddenly the APC chieftain who is also a former government official alighted from a black jeep with thugs in a commando style and hijacked the election materials and forced the INEC officials to go with them.

Bayelsa poll: Police arrest suspects during clash...
The Bayelsa Police Command have said that calm has returned to Oporoma, headquarters of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.
The police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Asinim Butswat, an ASP, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yenagoa.
He said the command had received report of a clash by rival groups which disrupted the electoral process in the area.
