Anambra election: Bianca floors Ojukwu’s son...

Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, who happens to be One of Governor Willie Obiano’s major supporters, has expressed joy following the victory recorded by the All Progressives Grand Alliance candidate at the polling units in her ward, Umudim Central School, in Nnewi North LGA.
A breakdown of results collated in the unit showed that APGA recorded 261 votes, APC 98, and PDP 80.
Addressing journalists in the area, the widow of late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, said, “In my area, APGA is winning. I believe we will go on to win the election.”
A son of the late Biafran warlord, Chukwuemeka Ojukwu Jr., who has been engaged in a running battle with Bianca, recently threw his weight behind the APC candidate, Tony Nwoye.

A Magistrate Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State Tuesday freed 44 detained members of the Indigenous People ‎of Biafra (IPOB) declaring a no case submission on the three count charges of Conspiracy, Breach of Public Peace and Unlawful gathering filed against them by the Police.

On Monday,The Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Is-had Modibbo, in Abuja said that the commission had revoked the licences of 54 broadcast stations that he said refused to pay the mandatory fees within the 60-day window permitted under the law.
