INEC gives Akeredolu Certificate of Return...

Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN),Ondo State governor-elect, has said his victory in last Saturday’s governorship election in the state is not only for himself nor his party, the All Progressives Congress but for the people of the state.The governor-elect also promised to carry along everybody in his incoming administration including all those who did not vote for him.
He stated this after receiving his Certificate of Return at the state headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Tuesday.
He urged members of the party to be united and support his administration in order to revamp the fortunes of the state.
The Certificate of Return was presented to the governor-elect by the INEC Supervising National Commissioner, Mr. Solomon Soyebi.
In his remarks, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Segun Agbaje, declared that the commission did not connive with any of the 28 political parties that participated in the election. He said INEC was fair to all political parties that participated in the election.
