3 Bolivians sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for hard drugs production...

Yesterday, A Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced three Bolivia nationals to 12 years imprisonment over unlawful production of Methamphetamine, a drug similar to cocaine, heroin and LSD.
The convicts, who were jailed by Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, are Reuben Jorge, Yhugo Moreno, and Yerko Dorado.

The court had, on Monday, November 21, convicted the three Bolivians after they had pleaded guilty to two count charge of the offence of drug related offenses leveled against them by the National Drugs Laws Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
Their conviction was sequel to the review of facts of the charge by the NDLEA’s prosecutor, Mr. Abu Ibrahim.
Ibrahim had during the review, tendered several evidence, which included certificate of test analysis, drug analysis reports, their convicts’ statements, which were written in English and Portuguese, and other incriminating evidence, which were admitted as exhibits by the court.
However, Justice Oguntoyinbo reserved judgement against the Bolivians till Tuesday, (yesterday) following the plea by their lawyer, Chief Benson Ndakara, to be lenient in sentencing them due to the period they had spent in detention.
Ndakara had orally cited some legal authorities, which the court told him to supply before pronouncing the jail term.
