Ese Oruru regains freedom...

Ese Oruru,the 14-year-old that was abducted in August of 2015 was last night rescued from her abductor.
 Force Public relations Officer, ACP Olabisi Kolawole confirmed the and also disclosed that the Inspector General of Police has directed that Ese Oruru be giving protection adding that she will be flown to Abuja on Tuesday to be re-united with her family.

Alhaji Muhammadu Sunusi II, The Emir of Kano has described the abduction of 14 year old 'Miss Ese Oruru' from her Mom in Bayelsa State by one of his subjects as an embarrassment.

He said this after a meeting with members of his council over the issue on Monday.

 He explained that he received two calls from people in far away South Africa on Monday morning over the matter.

The Emir explained that when the matter was first brought to his attention in September 2015, he ordered for her repatriation after it was established that she was under aged.

He, however, expressed surprise that the matter still lingered months after he gave instructions.

 So off the top of my head I've decided to start a daily prayer session on this blog. I know I have a lot of Salvation Ministries Members all up in here and they understand how we do it in church. 

My church is a Praying, Praise and Worship church. We pray a lot, worship and praise praise praise. By sending praise up to the heavens, God sends Blessings down. It's that easy. 

So while I work on the praise session, lets start with the prayer session.

Pray for God's continuous Favour in all you do today. 

Pray for God's Guidance in your going out and coming in and also give him thanks for answered prayer.

This is awesome news same time it isn't, on one hand I'm like, Yaaay, no more Perming of hair on the other hand I'm like,because I swear honest to God's goodness! I cry when I have to perm my hair,or as we call it on this part of town, relaxing or retouching of hair.

So on the other hand, I might have to barb my hair. I don't want to barb my hair but same time I don't think I can stay without Perming and join the ever growing natural hair sisters clan, I mean it's great and all but i mean, I don't even want to risk getting this Fibroid, but who knows how true this is?

JAMB deploys anti-guess software for CBT, trains 100 staff...

 The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has acquired a software that reduces the tendency for students to guess accurately during examination.
With the introduction of CBT and the software in place, it will be difficult for candidates to engage in examination malpractice.
 JAMB’s  Public Relations Officer, Dr Fabian Benjamin said JAMB has invested heavily in training and acquisition of some Software's that are specifically designed for examinations.
Dr. Fabian, who disclosed that over 500 centres across the country have been fully equipped with state-of -the -art facilities, also said that it is an improvement on the 400 centres of 2015 UTME.
According to him, each of the  400 centres used in 2015 UTME had a carrying capacity of 150 candidates, while those for this year have a carrying capacity of 300 candidates.
The examination which will run for 10 days, will  leave candidates to jostle for the 800,000 admission slots in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.

Naira depreciates to N355 to $1...

Thank God i didn't get used to this. Apparently,The naira in the parallel market was reversed Wednesday as the currency depreciated to N355 per dollar in the market.

According to Vanguard the parallel market exchange rate rose sharply from N305 per dollar on Tuesday to close in Lagos and Abuja at N355 per dollar, implying depreciation of N50 per dollar.
This was in sharp contrast to the N70 appreciation recorded from Monday to Tuesday, when the parallel market exchange rate dropped from N375 per dollar to N305.

Beans importation into Nigeria ‎banned NAFDAC ...

The Nigerian Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has banned the importation of foreign beans into the country except those screened by the Agency.
The Acting Director General of the Agency‎, Mrs. Yetunde Oni shared this information during the awareness/Sensitization Workshop on Safe and Responsible use of Regulated Agricultural inputs for Stakeholders in the North Central Zone in Minna this past Wednesday emphasized that only beans screened by the Agency will be allowed into the country in order to be sure of their safety.

Yesterday,Lagos lawyer, Mr. Rickey Tarfa, SAN, that filed a suit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, MTN Nigeria Communications Limited withdrew the N5billion fundamental rights suit he filed.
Tarfa had alleged the violation of his rights to privacy by the respondents.
Other defendants in the suit were EFCC acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, Mrs. Rashidatou Abdou and Femi Falana, SAN.

The Nigerian Military troops have killed 26 suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram sect.
In a failed attempted attack by Boko Haram on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno state.
Unfortunately, sources said, a soldier, civilian JTF member and some IDP members also lost their lives in the fresh encounter that took place in the early hours of Wednesday.
Col. Usman said, from all indications, the terrorists aimed at causing havoc at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp located at Dikwa.
However and unknown to the fleeing Boko Haram terrorists, the Armed Forces Special Forces in blocking positions decisively dealt with the terrorists; killing many, recovered vehicle, arms and ammunition.
The casualties have seen been evacuated while the troops have been pursuing those terrorists that escaped with gunshot wounds”. The statement added. The Army Spokesman stated that it is encouraging to note that despite loss of colleague and the vigilante, the troops have maintain dominating presence in the general area and poised to continue to clear the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists.

The casualties have seen been evacuated while the troops have been pursuing those terrorists that escaped with gunshot wounds”. The statement added. The naira rose further on Wednesday against the United States dollar at the parallel market to 300 from 310 on Tuesday. 

The local currency, which closed at 391 against the greenback last Thursday, had risen to 375 and 310 on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Naira appreciates to N345/$1...

This music to my ear, but still no online shopping till it's N150 - $1.

On Tuesday The Naira  appreciated some more to N345 per dollar in the parallel market. 

The parallel market exchange rate, which had been on the downward trend since last week, fell further to N345 per dollar at the close of business yesterday from N375 on Monday. BDC operators said attributed the continued appreciation to increased supply and sharp decline in demand for foreign exchange.
