Pregnant Kim Kardashian has hired a nutritionist to help prevent another pre-eclampsia attack during her second delivery.
'The last pregnancy, I ate a donut every single day, I'm not doing that this time,' the expecting 34-year-old told Us Weekly last Tuesday.
'To be honest, I've had really bad morning sickness, day sickness, night sickness. I can barely get out of bed.'
According to TMZ, the Selfish author's strict new diet consists of less sodium and lots of water.
Kim
was forced to welcome her daughter North five weeks early due to
complications from pre-eclampsia, which causes dangerously high blood
pressure.
Approximately 2–8 percent of women worldwide are affected by the pregnancy disorder, and it gets worse over time.
Unfortunately for the reality star, there is no evidence that less salt intake has any effect on the ailment.
Kardashian - who's said to be three months along - also suffered through a painful stomach infection during her first pregnancy.
'It's a very different type of pregnancy from my first one,' the 5ft3in fashionista - who has laryngitis - explained to Us
'But I'm so grateful to be pregnant when we didn't even think it was going to happen for us. I don't care how sick I am.'
The
Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is also hoping that she'll receive
more support from husband Kanye West during this pregnancy.
'I hope he will! He didn't help me last time!' Kim told Us.
'He
did after, he was like, "Okay, I can't take this I'm going to help
you." But we also like to keep everything really separate because it's
just sometimes easier that way.'
The 21-time Grammy winner will celebrate his 38th birthday today Monday.
Speaking of birthdays, the couple will also be celebrating little Nori's second year on June 15.
'She
knows that Mommy has a baby in her belly, but she thinks everyone has a
baby in their belly,' the Vogue Brazil cover girl told the mag. 'I
think she thinks it's my belly button.'
So far, Kim's maternity style is not unlike her everyday glam staples - cleavage-boosting, curve-hugging, clingy, and sheer.
