So barely 72 hours after the new Governor of Rivers State was sworn in the people that worked for the previous governor have already quit there jobs. Usually the residents of this part of town bring out there trash or garbage to the center of the road and dump them so when the garbage truck comes around everyday to pick it up! Everyday for the past 8 years and so the residents are used to this routine that's why they still dump the trash like usual. With hopes that the garbage truck will pass through and pick it up.

 But as we all know we have a new Governor in Rivers State and no offense to him, he needs to adjust and all, so I'm pretty sure he won't notice this particular issue for weeks to come.

Here's what's wrong with this, apparently any new governor that gets elected always fails to make a permanent change, if you will start a program for the state be sure to make it permanent  so that after you leave the seat they will carry on the good work. It's like the federal government, just because there's a new government don't mean they will change their code of conduct.

This is a very serious issue, Rumuomasi is a street I pass every single day so I know exactly what it looks like. This particular Garbage wahala is less than 3 days old. Someone needs to do something about this before it gets out of hand. It's falling into the road already.

I asked a resident and he said, "Amaechi, don go, New governor don enter."

What's that even supposed to mean? 

If you live in this part of Rivers State, be on the look out, it's like the elephant in the room, you can't miss it. From Rumuomasi Morning Market- Rumuobiakani Round About on old Aba Road, Rivers state.

I remember when I was younger that year it was "REFCOL". They even had a catchy theme song sef. Over the years there's never been a permanent garbage pick up company, with a new government comes a new company.

Fun Fact: Notice that Tima-Riv workers have gone extinct? Nope? Well then, be on the look out. Lol. I noticed because I always count the amount of Tima-Riv workers I see before I get to school.
