Edo state Governor Adams Oshiomole got married today to Lara Fortez from Cape Verde.

The wedding took place today in Estako west local government council Registry Auchi, and the reception took place at the grooms country home Iyamho,Edo state Nigeria. In attendance  was the bride's Mom and Dad, Millionaire business man Mike otedola aka papa Cuppy(Dj cuppy's dad), President Elect. Muhammadu Buhari and some other politicians too numerous to mention. He also revealed why he chose her.

"I have seen a lot of publications, some saying that she is Philippine, Dutch and several others, but she is from Cape Verde. And that is part of West Africa. And I hope that will rest the debate of where she is from,” he said regarding her nationality.

"She is very humble, she appreciates the nature of my job and life that it is one that one comes back home late. Sometimes 3: 00 a.m., she understands my weaknesses, she is more or less the mother of the house, the one that has accepted to be the mother of my children. I am happy that all my children are at home with her and accept her as their mother even though she is not old enough to be their mother. She has accepted to fill that gap,” he told PM news"

For those of us like me who did not know. This is he's second marriage, He's wife died 5 years ago of cancer. He has grown up kids and grand kids as well, he even has a daughter that's older than he's new wife although she wasn't in attendance, he's other children and grand children were present to witness the ceremony. I can't help but wonder how he announced the wedding to he's kids,Maybe he called for a family meeting? I'm sure it would have been one of the most awkward family meetings ever.
