An Israeli website replaced Kim Kardashian with a receipt in photo

According to theweek.com, Kim Kardashian and Angela Merkel finally have something in common: Both have been edited out
of photos by an ultra-Orthodox publication.
While Merkel

was removed from a picture taken with other world leaders at a solidarity march following the Charlie Hebdo attack in January,

Kardashian was replaced in a photo taken at an Israeli restaurant by, of all things, a really long restaurant receipt. The editors at the ultra-Orthodox Jewish website Kikar HaShabbat kept Kardashian's husband, Kanye West, and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, intact, although they did have some choice words about the mayor eating at a non-kosher establishment. When asked why the most photographed woman in the world could not be shown in a photograph, editor Nissam Ben Haim told The Associated Press it's because she is a "pornographic symbol" who contradicts ultra-Orthodox values.
