O.J. Simpson Granted Parole...

O.J. Simpsons has just been granted parole. He had his hearing this morning in front of 4 people, all 4 of them voted that he should be granted parole.

During the hearing they went through various factors most of them were that he stayed out of trouble and maintained a good character while in was incarcerated.
They couldn't take into account the 1995 acquittal. They only said that this factor shouldn't affect their decisions as its a different case which had to do with a robbery that his doing time for.
O.J. Simpson, now 70,has already served eight years of the 33years prison sentence for armed robbery, kidnapping, and other charges for his role in a 2007 attempt to steal sports memorabilia that Simpson said belonged to him.
Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison in 2008. But he is nearing his nine-year minimum sentence, which he's currently serving at Nevada’s Lovelock Correctional Center.
The former football player is scheduled to meet with four parole board members through a video teleconference Thursday at 10 a.m. Factors that the parole board will consider include include Simpson's age, prior convictions, the nature of the crime and possible plans after release.

Simpson has no prior felonies, though a 1995 case for the murder of Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman was dubbed "The Trial of the Century." Simpson was acquitted on all counts.

He is scheduled to be released in October.
But then again,Parole doesn't mean his 'out of the woods'.He needs to be a model citizen and stay away from crime to remain a free man.
He is however allowed to give interviews...
