Monday October 3rd,has been declared as Public Holiday by the Federal Government to mark Nigeria’s 56th Independence Day.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Thursday in Abuja.
Nigeria's Independence is on 1st October which happens to be a Saturday this year so that's why they shifted the Public Holiday to Monday.
I still think we can do without the Public Holiday, but still good news for me. No noisy generator sound from the neighbors...
