On Friday night, the Niger Delta Avengers blew up the crude oil export line in Rivers State.
In a statement,by Mudoch Agbinibo, the spokesman of the militant group that was posted on the group’s website on Saturday he said the attack was to protest against the “over dramatization of the so-called dialogue and negotiation process on the side of President Muhammadu Buhari and his government”.
The group, had initially ceased its attack oil facilities since the Chief Edwin Clark-led dialogue team intervened to allow for a dialogue with the Federal Government, said it was still open to dialogue.
It, however, said would only accept a peace process that comes with honour.
NDA warned that it would resist any military action, stressing that the posture of President Muhammadu Buhari was not reassuring.
A security source confirmed the attack to our correspondent, but declined to comment further as he was not authorised to speak on the matter.
