FRSC to stop alcoholic beverages’ sale at motor parks

The Federal Road Safety Corps has mandated its special marshall to identify motor parks where alcoholic beverages are sold in the country.
It stated that its Marshall in Rivers and Oyo States had sent in reports about such parks where alcoholic drinks are sold to commercial drivers, noting that its personnel would be deployed to prevent drivers from drinking before driving.
The Corps Marshall, Boboye Oyeyemi , who made this at a news conference to commemorate the 2015 Africa Road Safety Day/World Day of Remembrance forRoad Traffic Victims on Thursday in Abuja, noted that drivers caught driving under the influence of alcohol would henceforth face stiffer sanctions.
