Difference Between 'Wedding and Marriage'...

Up until like literary a few minutes ago, i actually thought these terms Marriage and Wedding were conjoined twins, when you define them that is but on the contrary the only thing these two words have in common is the fact that its a union between Man and Woman.
 You see,
A marriage is a long term relationship between two individuals. A wedding, on the other hand, is the ceremony of getting married.
Therefore, “You are invited to my wedding.” is a correct and “You are invited to my marriage”. is an incorrect usage.
Cause you can invite people for your wedding  cause its a celebration and but you can't invite people to your marriage.
“Their marriage was a disaster.” implies that the couple was not happy in their life together and are probably separated or divorced.

On the other hand, “Their wedding was a disaster.“ implies that something happened during the wedding and that the ceremony did not go smoothly.
The couple can go on to have a long and happy marriage even after a disastrous wedding.
So next time someone invites you to their Marriage say 'Rain Check' or 'No,Thanks'. Or be like me and correct the person in the most sarcastic way ever,Or say 'HMMM!'...

I bet you didn't already know this, so your welcome... #DropsMic...
