The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), retired Col. Muhammad Abdallah, has appointed Mr Jonah Achema as the new Spokesperson of the anti-narcotics Agency.
Achema is to take over from Ofoyeju Mitchell who has been redeployed to the Edo Command.
This was disclosed by Ofoyeju, the out-going spokesperson, in a statement on Wednesday.
Until his present appointment as Principal Staff Officer Public Affairs, Achema was the Assistant Commander Administration and Logistics at the Enugu State Command of the agency.
Ofoyeju, who has been Head of the Public Affairs Unit of the NDLEA since 2007, expressed appreciation to the management for giving him the opportunity to serve the country and also thanked members of the media for their support.
The posting is in line with established policy of appointments and transfers in the Agency and all handing and taking over documentations are to be completed on or before Aug. 7. NAN
